Concorde Limited-Edition Watch
Designed for British Airways, this watch celebrates Concorde and is built around a titanium disc from a Concorde engine. It features an outline of the aircraft on the dial, a stainless steel 48mm case, anti-scratch glass and a leather strap. Each watch is numbered from one to 3,458 (the distance of the London LHR/New York JFK route).
Concorde’s first commercial flight by British Airways was in 1976. Passengers on board the London to Bahrain flight were treated to luxury service, including Dom Perignon 1969 Champagne, caviar and fillet steak. The fastest transatlantic crossing by Concorde was just 2 hours 52 minutes – from London to New York. The iconic jet airliner was retired from service in 2003. Dame Joan Collins and Sir David Frost were among its famous last passengers. Concorde could cruise at an altitude of 60,000ft. At that incredible height, the curvature of the Earth could be seen. Today, there are 7 British Airways Concordes on display worldwide.
Every limited-edition Concorde Watch comes in a stylish black gift box with a carded letter of authenticity signed by the curator of the British Airways Heritage Centre. Also included is a 25-page booklet outlining Concorde’s history - in all respects, a gift that is a fitting tribute to the world’s only supersonic passenger aircraft.
